Scotty ATL roams through empty lots in ‘Pray Alone’

Scotty and famous friends like Killer Mike treat a flea market like a club’s VIP section

Rapper Scotty ATL claims Decatur’s 285 Flea Mart as his stomping grounds in his new “Pray Alone” video, released July 30. In fact, with how he and Killer Mike pump their fists while standing outside, they treat this modest establishment with its empty parking lot as if they suddenly landed in a club’s VIP section. The same could be said of featured vocalist Trouble, who sings his solemn hook in a living room with broken blinds.

“Pray Alone” appears in Scotty ATL’s latest mixtape On the Road 2 Spaghetti Junction, released earlier this summer by Scion AV. If the song’s respective video is any indication, though, corporate sponsorship has yet to change Scotty’s perspective. Instead, the clip’s featured artists like DJ Burn One, Big K.R.I.T. and Slimm Calhoun, as in the former Aquemini Records signee, have entered his world — empty lots and all.
