AmRep teases revived comp series with a bloody Whores number

Noise rock trio Whores to be featured on 13th installment of DGFITS compilation series.

Amphetamine Reptile Records recently teased the 13th installment of its Dope-Guns-N-Fucking in the Streets 7-inch compilation series with a brutal new cut by local noise rockers Whores, titled “Bloody Like the Day You Were Born.”

The Minneapolis-based label, run by Halo of Flies vocalist and songwriter Tom Hazelmyer, played a key role in disseminating noise rock around the globe in its ’90s heyday. Since the late ‘80s, the comp series has highlighted such noise luminaries as God Bullies, Unsane, Helmet, and Helios Creed.

Volume 13 will be the first installment since 2010, when Vol. 12 was released to coincide with the label’s 25th anniversary. According Whores singer and guitarist Christian Lembach, the comp will also feature songs by Big Business, Billy Childish, Seawhores, Feedtime, Useless Children, and the Blind Shake. No release date has been set yet. Stay tuned for more.
