On the eve of midterm elections, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan are hoping to encourage folks to get out and vote. As part of Rock the Vote, the Rich Gang rappers will perform a free concert tonight at 8 p.m., at the Tabernacle.

While not known for being an artist with politically charged lyrical content, Young Thug apparently joined Rock the Vote’s #TurnOutForWhat campaign after learning about a voter fraud investigation in his home state.

“This shit is fucked up,” Young Thug said in a statement. “Like too many others, I wasn’t paying attention and missed the voter registration deadline, but I’m not sitting out this election. I’m all in—and I’m happy to be working with Rock the Vote to remind young people to vote on November 4th.”

According to the organization, Rock the Vote is the largest non-profit and non-partisan group geared toward encouraging youth vote. Since 1990, Rock the Vote’s campaigns fusing politics and pop culture have successfully registered over six million new voters. In a statement, Rock the Vote President Ashley Spillane called Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, “distinctive voices in hip-hop who reach an audience Rock the Vote considers vital to the future of our democracy.”

Rock the Vote presents Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. Free. Mon., Nov. 3, at 8 p.m. The Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St. NW. rockthevote.com/turnoutforwhat.
