Little Tybee’s Josh Martin showcases guitar technique via Ibanez

The Little Tybee guitarist shows off some smokin’ shredding.

Little Tybee’s guitarist Josh Martin shreds on a recently-made instructional video with guitar maker Ibanez, where Martin features a technique he calls “glitch tapping.”

The warm, 10-minute video, directed by Little Tybee vocalist/pianist Brock Scott and shot at the Goat Farm, showcases Martin’s methods on an eight-string Ibanez SIX28FDBG, interspersed with short group performances with members of the band.

Martin practiced this specific technique for about six hours a day for a year and was approached by Ibanez after Little Tybee played a show in Los Angeles, he said.

And for the Internet’s cat-lovers, a Goat Farm cat makes a cameo a little past the video’s one-minute mark, much to the surprise of Martin, who didn’t know it was there, he says.
