Night Cleaner is a new project that finds All the Saints’ singer and guitarist Matt Lambert exploring a slower and more spacious side of his songwriting, evoking the comfortably surreal ambiance of Syd Barrett, Flying Saucer Attack, et al.

Tonight, Lambert leads a band comprised of various East Atlanta rock vets including drummer Frankie Broyles (Deerhunter, Landline, ex-Balkans), bass player Chris Kaufmann (Gringo Star), and guitarist Cyrus Shahmir (the N.E.C.), sharing the stage between performances by Andrew Wiggins (Hawks and Wymyns Prysyn) playing a noise set, and a headlining set by Landline.

In the meantime Lambert has unveiled his first offering with Night Cleaner, a self-titled number that’s slated to appear on the Green Sleeves EP due out in February as part of Geographic North’s Sketch For Winter series that also features EPs by A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Pan•American, and Moon Diagrams (Moses from Deerhunter).
