Blackberry Smoke maintains momentum with ‘Too High’

Atlanta’s Southern rock luminaries boost iTunes chart topping album with a fresh new music video.

The well-deserved hype train for Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke hit full steam this week following the release of Holding All the Roses. The album continues rolling along with a new video for “Too High.” Equal parts rock ‘n’roll and country, the song owes as much to the outlaws who turned Nashville on its head in the ‘70s as it does to any Southern rock legends from Macon or Jacksonville. The video tells the story of two missing girls found by a wayward uncle, and captures the rural South’s beautiful scenery while warning of its inherent demons.

In its first week, Blackberry Smoke’s new album, its first with Rounder Records, topped the iTunes rock albums charts in both the U.S. and U.K.
