A3C to match up to $10K of De La Soul’s Kickstarter

Today, the A3C Festival and Conference announced that it will match up to $10,000 of all pledges made to De La Soul’s And the Anonymous Nobody Kickstarter campaign made between April 30 at 12 p.m. EST and May 2 at 12 p.m. EST.

It’s a generous boost to a successful campaign that has already lapped its initially pledged goal of $110,000 nearly five times. “There is no artist or act that represents what we do more than De La Soul,” says A3C partner and director Mike Walbert. “They’re one of the reasons why this company even exists, and now that we’re bigger and have the ability to be a an agent for good in hip-hop we want to flex that muscle. The return on the investment, and the ability to host De La Soul Day as part of the upcoming A3C is huge for us and the hip-hop community,” he adds. “We want to be a positive citizen in that community, and support movements, organizations, and creatives that we feel best represent the culture.”

So just to be clear, if you pledge $1, A3C will also pledge $1, and so on. If you pledge $20 or more De La Soul will send you a discount code for $20 off your pass to this year’s A3C festival Oct. 7-11.
