Fresh off the release of their excellent singles “Alcudia” and “Mid Life,”  Pop Weirdos announce the debut of their upcoming EP Any Old Way, due out in May.

Members Jamison Murphy and Bennett Kane normally write with the orchestral playfulness of Brian Wilson, but Any Old Way features the duo exploring Motown influences.

Pop Weirdos follow up the announcement with a performance this Saturday at the Sewing Room, a recent addition to Atlanta’s house show circuit. The performance marks the group shifting from its past performances as an acoustic duo to a full band, keeping in line with the rich arrangements featured in its studio recordings.

Pop Weirdos play the Sewing Room with Glass Mansions, Rom, and Exwhy this Saturday, March 26. $5. 8 p.m. 1614 Hazelrig Dr S.E.
