The Masquerade’s annual Wrecking Ball ATL festival has unveiled its daily lineups. The announcement follows yesterday’s additions of Foxing, Diet Cig, Sorority Noise, and Chris Farren to the Aug. 13-14 in-town music blowout.

Day one should be a strong selling point for those on the fence about attending. You’ve got Bradford Cox of Deerhunter’s lack of inhibitions as a performer and songwriter, paired with John Reis’ most experimental outing, Drive Like Jehu. Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna and Kathi Wilcox appear together with the Julie Ruin, preceding L7’s first Masquerade appearance since 1999’s Slap-Happy tour. Better yet, Gorilla Biscuits hopefully rip through “No Reason Why” for the kids still amped from Foundation spin-off Abuse of Power’s set.

Sunday offers a heaping helping of the emo, post-hardcore, and melodic punk that defined last year’s inaugural event. Gorilla Biscuits’ Walter Schreifels returns to the stage with heavier post-hardore legends Quicksand. Other marquee acts rooted in the ’90s include American Football, Thursday, and Motion City Soundtrack . Also on tap is alt-rock forefathers Dinosaur Jr. and some impressive young punk talent, most notably New Orleans hardcore band Pears and Massachusetts pop-punkers Potty Mouth.
