haven’t been active for a while, but the group’s former singer/guitarist William Fussell has released “Porous Silk,” a new single from his solo project, Promise Keeper. The song is streaming at Pigeons & Planes.

Listen to the new song from Gone Is Gone, the “supergroup” featuring Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, at BrooklynVegan. “Starlight” will appear on the band’s debut EP, out July 8 via Rise.

Athens’ Rat Babies have a new record out June 1. Stream the massively heavy “Anchor,” the first song from Mumbles, via Bandcamp.

Kristin Kontrol’s debut, X-Communicate, is out today via Sub Pop. She opens for Garbage at the Tabernacle on Fri., July 22.

The new Cloud Becomes Your Hand record, Rest In Fleas, is out today via Northern Spy. The band plays 529 tonight (Tues., May 31, with Horse Lords, Breathers, DIP, and Hellier Ulysses.

Fear of Men and Puro Instinct have announced a show at the Masquerade (Purgatory) on Mon., July 25. Fear of Men is streaming its new album, Fall Forever, via NPR ahead of its June 3 release date, while Puro Instinct is streaming “Tell Me” from the upcoming Autodrama (June 24 via Manifesto) via Gorilla Vs.
