a class=”wiki external” target=”_blank” href=”http://projectpabst.com/” rel=”external”>Project Pabst has unveiled one of the most eclectic lineups for a music festival the city has ever seen, and it’s set to take over the East Atlanta Village on Sat., Oct. 1. Run the Jewels, Mastodon, NOFX, Santigold, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, the Internet, Real Estate, Titus Andronicus, Summer Cannibals, Omni, Jacuzzi Boys, Midnight Larks, Dinos Boys, and more fill out the bill. “We did the first two years in Portland, and we always try to treat the lineup like we’re at the bar, we’ve had a few PBRs, and we’re playing the jukebox, playing the music that we like,” says PBR’s National Ambassador Matt Slessler. “We thought the East Atlanta vibe was cool, and it’s definitely a street that represents PBR.”

etails for the festival are still coming together, but this is what we know so far: There will be two outdoor stages including one in the lot next to Argosy and one near the Graveyard Tavern. A pre-festival show is being pulled together at the Star Bar, with some night shows taking place at Smith’s Olde Bar as well. The Earl is hosting a lineup including performances by Mind Spiders, Radioactivity, Nots, Biters, Jacuzzi Boys, Dinos Boys, and Midnight Larks. There’s a dance party on the books for the Basement, inspired by an ATL-heavy playlist, and music and stand-up comedy will fill the 529 stage. Curtis Harding, the Difference Machine, Michael Myerz, and a TWINS DJ set are lined up with more to be announced soon.

The festival will also be fitted with an old-school arcade tent, pinball games, a 30-foot unicorn with a light-up horn, and an on-sight vinyl pressing station complete with back line. Dubbed Pabst Wax, artists can perform a song in a mobile recording studio, cut a demo, and press a lathe-cut 7-inch.

here’s also a big comedy headliner in the works for Variety Playhouse. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

n the meantime, tickets go on sale Wed., July 13 at 10 a.m. EST at ProjectPabst.com. There are 2,000 early bird tickets available for $40. Once those are sold out tickets will be available for $55.
