The local environmental nonprofit has invited artists living in the Southeast to design an "interpretive sculptural public artwork for the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum." The work will reside within a circle of trees spanning 30 feet in diameter planted at Warehouse Row at Rose Circle Park in southwest Atlanta. The Warehouse Row Arboretum is one of 14 "natural neighborhoods" located along the Beltline. Each of the 14 spaces has a theme; Warehouse Row's is Landscape of Motion, which, according to the application, the artwork should reflect. Deadline is Mon., April 20, 5 p.m.

Trees Atlanta's call to artists is an exhaustive 10-page pdf outlining the project's theme, scope and budget. The group, along with artist and curator Stuart Keeler, will hold an artist information session tomorrow, Fri., March 13, at the organization's Chester Avenue location. An on-site info session will be held the following day, Sat., March 14. An RSVP's required to attend that one: landscape.of.motion@gmail.com.
