Braves host dogs

As in mutts and poodles. The Atlanta Braves are giving fans yet another chance to bring their dogs to Turner field on Wednesday, June 10th, for their night game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tickets are $25 and are good for you and your pooch, plus a donation to various animal care non-profits. Additional "human" tickets are $12.

Pre-registration is required and can be done through the Braves website. Tickets will not be be available the day of the game.

Atlanta Braves Bark in the Park “After Dark” is Wednesday, June 10th

Due to the enormous popularity of the Atlanta Braves Bark in the Park, an additional “Bark” date for 2009 has been added to the calendar. Wednesday, June 10th will mark the Braves first night game Bark in the Park, as the Braves will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.

Fans must pre-register to attend “Bark in the Park” with their four-legged best friends. Register now at: www.braves.com/bark . Tickets are $25 and include one “human ticket,” one “dog ticket” and a donation to benefit non-profit organizations that help animals in need. Additional “human tickets” are available for $12. Tickets will not be available on the day of the event, and fans should register soon, as space is limited.

WAG-A-LOT, Atlanta’s first doggie-day-care center, will be on hand to help ensure all animals enjoy their time at Turner Field. Braves Coca-Cola Sky Field will be transformed into a doggie-paradise, complete with on-site veterinary services, doggie pools, cool water misters, and plenty of watering holes for the pets to stay hydrated.

More than 1,200 Braves fans and their four-legged “best friends” attended Bark in the Park Sunday, May 3 at Turner Field. The final Bark in the Park of 2009 is set for Sunday, September 6th.
