The next installment of First Thursdays Buckhead Gallery Walk takes place Thurs., June 4, from 6-9 p.m. There are more than a dozen participating venues, so check the official announcement for specific times and locations.

Some highlights? Hagedorn Foundation Gallery hosts its final week of a Dose of Rock 'N' Roll in Peachtree Hills. Just next door, you can catch the opening for painter Yasharel Manzy at Tew Galleries, a reception that will double as a benefit for the doggies and kitties served by the Atlanta Humane Society. And over on Bennett Street, you can help fight homelessness at Anne Neilson's Angels in Our Midst exhibition at Anne Irwin Fine Art — a portion of proceeds from the show’s sales will benefit the Trinity Community Ministries, a faith-based organization serving Atlanta’s homeless. Of course, it should be noted that Hagedorn Foundation Gallery is a permanent nonprofit; owner Paul Hagedorn is a well-known local philanthropist.

If you're in the Paces Ferry area on Thursday, the work of Ben Smith is worth a look. The opening reception will take place at Gallery Rodin.
