Last fall, Art House's Shane Zucker and Steven Peterman announced they'd be moving their home base from Castleberry Hill to Brooklyn, NY. Last weekend's Sketchbook Project show was the gallery's last hurrah in the A before heading north of the Mason-Dixon. We asked the guys to bid adieu to Atlanta by sharing the things they'll miss most about the city.

1. The People

We will surely miss the people! Art House was born in Atlanta. We grew up there. And through it all, we had some really awesome supporters whom we will miss terribly!

2. Castleberry Hill

Castleberry was our home for the last year and somewhat months. That's where we made most of our friends. We miss you already, Peters Street!

3. Octane Coffee

Shane says he will miss Octane, but has no specific reason why. We think it's because he could work all day there and then drink all night without ever leaving his seat.

4. Bone Garden Cantina

Steven is literally addicted to "Mexican Vortex", aka Bone Garden Cantina. So, that's pretty much all he still thinks about. When he came back down to Atlanta last week for our last exhibition there, Shane had already sold his car in preparation for NY, so we cabbed it to Bone Garden and spent $35 bucks just on the cab fare. It was worth it.

5. Arts Organizations

We will both miss all the awesome arts organizations in Atlanta, such as our friends at Mint, the guys at Beep Beep, and Jason Kofke (I'm pretty sure he is an arts organization.)

6. Our supporter

We will always miss Rich Gere from SCAD for all his support through everything!

7. Traffic

We will miss sitting in traffic on 75/85! Really, though, it's much less annoying than NYC traffic.

8. The Standard

Both of us will miss going to the Standard on the weekends and having the same server every time. He did a good job, and we like the comfort of familiarity!

9. The rest

Lastly, we will just miss Atlanta for everything it tries to be and for everything we know it is. It will always have a place in our hearts as the birthplace of Art House. We will be back to visit often. And we hope there won't be traffic.
