Dashboard Co-op, the local artist collective and virtual gallery that launched last February, has just announced via e-mail the seven new artists added to its lineup:

Nimer Aleck II: An Atlanta-based sculptor who focuses award consumerism and other aspects of capitalist culture.

David Batterman: An Atlanta-based photographer whose surrealist images document composite human interaction and decomposing environments.

Christian Gordy: A Brooklyn-based illustrator whose humor and identity are rooted at the soul of his illustrations. They often turn out socially impolite, yet somehow, relatively endearing.

Kerry Jones: A Brooklyn-based fashion designer who sculpts female fashions out of contrasting textures, vivid patterns and vintage fabrics.

Romy Maloon: A South African sculptor living in Atlanta who works in the realm of fine art with a focus on craft.

Plastic Aztecs: An Atlanta-based collective that produces interactive installations that utilize the time/space continuum and florescent spandex.

The $tatus Faction:
A multidisciplinary collective of street artists. Members of T$F remain anonymous and may reach into the hundreds.

Dashboard, whose other members include artists such as Baxter Crane and Paper Twins, will add new artists every three months.

A group exhibition showcasing the Co-op's recent additions, Fresh Meat: Filets, Strips and other Marbled Delights, is scheduled for July 24, 8 p.m.-midnight at the Goat Farm.
