We asked our favorite Atlanta writers to tell us about their favorite books of 2010. All week long, we'll be running their comments. Terra McVoy is the author of Pure and After the Kiss.

2010 was a good year for books: so much good stuff coming out (Final book in the Hunger Games series, anyone? Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest?), and so much to talk about. But the best book I read, hands down, was actually Gone with the Wind. Shamefully, I'd never read it before, and it blew everything else out of the water, even Jonathan Franzen's Freedom, which was another Best Book EVER that I was lucky enough to read this year. I rarely add books to the gun-to-my-head, have-to-pick-a-favorite list (at which All the Kings' Men by Robert Penn Warren is top choice), so two in one year was really remarkable for me.
