The Legendary Pink Dots with Orbit Service
From the venue:
The Legendary Pink Dots are on the road again! For the group’s 2019 round of North American shows, Edward Ka-Spel and Co. celebrate 40 years of psychedelic songcraft emanating from the outer limits of Krautrock rhythms and baroque industrial musical textures. Whimsical inflections of British folk and science fiction can be heard in Ka-Spel’s twisted narratives, guided into deeper and higher levels of the ethereal plane by keyboard/electronics mastermind Phil “The Silverman” Knight. With Erik Drost (guitars) and Joep Hendrikx (devices) in place, the group distills four decades of mysterious and supernatural musical explorations into a collection of songs culminating with this year’s Angel In the Detail LP (Metropolis Records).
Orbit Service, aka Randall Frazier, opens the show playing songs from his recently released The Door to the Open Sky LP.
This show is on the Purgatory stage. Tickets are on sale now. $22 (adv). 7 p.m. (doors).
