Hartsfield-Jackson International Aiport’s Terminal South security checkpoint has closed for three weeks as of Thursday morning. Travelers can expect longer waits than normal at the busy main chekpoint, with lines stretching into the atrium. The South checkpoint is expected to reopen on May 24 with a new system that should speed things up. Until then, TSA officials still recommend getting to the airport at least two hours before a flight.

Visitors to Hartsfield-Jackson may notice another big change: The ceiling ants are gone. Artist Joe Peragine says his iconic installation, titled “Brute Neighbors,” was removed without his knowledge or any explanation.

“Three weeks from now, we expect to get official notice that Atlanta is going to host the 2019 Super Bowl in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” says William Pate, president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. Nothing is set yet, so stay tuned.

As if standardized testing weren’t stressful enough for Georgia’s students, a recent computer “logjam” may have hindered some kids from performing their best this year. The Georgia Board of Education decided to waive the results at some schools where computers glitched.
