Randomly Noted Question of the Week: Flushed, with embarassment

In anticipation of this week's upcoming story by Felicia Feaster and Besha Rodell about cutting-edge bathroom design, this week's question is, What is your most embarrassing or confusing public bathroom-related incident? My pet peeve is bathrooms with cute but baffling euphemisms or icons for the men's vs. ladies' rooms. I invariably find myself standing in front of the restrooms, feeling increasingly self-conscious and pervy as I try to figure out whether I qualify as "inboard" or "outboard," or something like that. Or I'll find myself outside two doors, each of which featuring a graphic that looks like that weird zapf-dingbat that used to be Prince's name, and struggle to match my gender to the right one.
