Vick a no-show for Congressional breakfast

Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was a no-show a Capitol Hill breakfast Tuesday at which he was to speak to some members of Congress about the need to increase funding for after school programs.
Vick's publicist said he missed a connection in Atlanta and couldn't get on a later flight. But a spokesman for AirTran, which Vick has an endorsement deal with, said Vick was confirmed on a late Monday night flight to Washington, D.C., and did not show up for the flight.
Another example of literal bias in the media. Always ignoring the subtle symbolism in favor of their literal agenda. Vick didn't miss a flight -- he was sending a message about what happens when kids are left unsupervised because of inadequate funding for after-school programs. They disappear and their moms have to accept awards on their behalf. That's even better than showing up!
