OK, so it's going to be circa 2023 before the streetcar system is up and running on the Beltline, the 22-mile loop of transit and trails that will circle Atlanta and link dozens of neighborhoods. But free bus tours of the Beltline's proposed path will help get you familiar with the city's vision for what's been called the most transformative public project in recent Atlanta history.
The three-hour tours are open the public, though you must RSVP 72 hours in advance at tours@beltlinepartnership.org. The Beltline tour buses depart from the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA station at 9:15 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays (Memorial Day weekend excluded).
