Last night's season finale of "The Office" was both hilariously funny and extremely sweet, ending on such a satisfying note that it actually would have made a great series finale. But it will be back.
It also featured an online-only footnote â which is not surprising, since "The Office" has always been out in front with "webisodes" and internet-based content and promotions. During the episode, Creed, the middle-aged quality assurance manager, mentioned that he has a blog. Creed may be the single strangest personality in the Dunder-Mifflin office, and beneath his placid, taciturn exterior, he's eccentric to the point of being a sociopath. He's suspiciously knowledgeable about illegal drugs and has alluded to having been homeless, having participated in 1960s orgies and having a small business selling fake IDs to teenagers.
Anyway, on the episode he tells the off-screen "interviewer" that his blog has an address that's something bogus like www.creedthoughts.gov/www.creedthoughts. Then the scene cuts to Ryan, the junior employee, who said that Creed asked him how to set up a blog. To spare the world from Creed's mind, Ryan simply opened a Word document with the "URL" on the top on Creed's computer and simply left it like that. "I've looked at it a few times, and even for the Internet, it's shocking." Naturally, NBC has an actual Creed Thoughts, which may not be shocking, but is pretty amusing.
