Atlantans dazzled by high-tech water-making device

Posted by Andisheh Nouraee on Mon, Oct 15, 2007 at 6:30 PM

"It's taken off like mad," said Jeremy Rapin, assistant manager at that Ace Hardware. "People see them as they come in and spontaneously they will buy one because their flowers are dying." One woman stopped in her tracks when she saw the rain barrels Thursday at Ace's Garden Center."That's a good idea," said Dolores Solon of Lilburn.

From an AJC story today about, er, buckets.

Jokes aside, this article does get at an essential truth.

We're so reliant on technology for everything that we're detached from the natural world.

"Water comes from faucets, not the sky!"

Capturing rain in a bucket is a radical idea.

They keep this brain-trend up, they're gonna realize we don't have any rain to capture either.
