FIrst thing "Southern Nights" reminds me of is the Glen Campbell song, written by prominent New Orleans producer Allen Toussaint. I'm not sure that's what they were aiming for.

City lights, Southern nights, but no water. Two out of three ain't bad. Pass that along to Mrs. Bert Roughton. Man, are the Roughtons raking in the money or what? Atlanta's Power Couple! Too bad they don't have an ounce of talent or integrity between them. I mean, really. Sheesh!
