Atlanta's caffeine crazy ... no kidding!

A national survey has determined that Atlanta ranks fifth as one of the most caffeinated cities in the United States, just behind Phoenix, Miami, Tampa and Chicago.

Surprisingly, considering all our coffee shops and the proliferation of Starbucks, we are fourth on the list in the LEAST amount of coffee consumed. Not surprisingly, Seattle is ranked first as the city most addicted to java. So what are we drinking?

Well, for one, we rank fourth in the amount of cola consumed, fifth in the amount of tea (make that sweet, please), and second in the amount of chocolate.

That adds up to a lot of jolt. No wonder our drivers are so friggin' crazy in the morning.

You'll have to excuse me now; it's time for my morning shot of Earl Gray.

Scott, Redo the stats to include a bell curve and account for the ATL consumption peak that occurs Dec 21 and troughs out around September 21st, then repeats.
