Al and Juan: âChristmas in Hollisâ by Run-DMC. We grew up in New York, so we know what itâs about having Christmas in Queens. Also, they had midgets and elves in the video. The worst is âHere Comes Santa Claus.â Are we supposed to duck? Give me a break. Weâre brothers. We never got presents. Here comes Santa Claus? Well, guess what. He never came to our house, but Run-DMC was always there in our radio every night for Christmas.
Candance: âBack Door Santaâ by Honeymoon Killers. Itâs bluesy and trashy. We really donât have a lot of that around Christmas; Santa sliding down your chimney, sneaking out the back door. I just like old, dirty blues songs. The fact itâs a Christmas song makes it even better. The worst is those dogs barking to âJingle Bells.â Itâs the most annoying song Iâve ever heard. I donât like small dogs, or babies, and that incessant barking makes me crazy.
Larry: âSanta Claus Go Straight to the Ghettoâ by James Brown. I could relate to it. When it came out, I was living deep in the city and I thought what a cool idea for a song. Instead of giving to the haves, how about giving to the have-nots? Worst is âGrandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.â When you think about Christmas, you donât think about something that morbid. As a songwriter it caught your ear pretty much but in the spirit of Christmas it failed miserably.

The worst Christmas song to me is "The Twelve Days of Christmas". It is repetitive and annoying. Also "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer"! I change the radio station when these songs come on. There are so many other beautiful ones I would rather hear.
