Meet the coolest lobbyists in Georgia

Posted by Thomas Wheatley on Mon, Jan 14, 2008 at 2:56 PM

Why wear neckties and wingtips when you can don leather jackets and boots? These two gents lobby for the American Bikers Active Toward Education, or ABATE, and if you dare try to pull some chickenshit closed-door rewrite in committee, they will kick your ass.

(Below screenshots pulled from the State Ethics Commission's 400-plus page directory of lobbyists.)

First, the inimitable Eddie Andross.

And fellow awesome individual Charles Kriston.

Flashback Friday Oct 18, 2002. ABATE & two other motorcycle groups from from Florida and Alabama were scheduled to help us hold a Saturday rally protesting the proposed GDOT Fall Line Freeway going through our sacred Ocmulgee National Monument, Creek Nation Burial Grounds. Saturday Oct 19, 2002 It rained, rally was canceled. Monday Oct 21, 2002 I woke up in ICU, after a brief trip to hell and heaven and thought i had missed the rally. that's why they call me the honorary consult to the great beyond. you can just call me lucky and very grateful... Monday

Thanks for the recognition. We are non-profit and rely on volunteers. These two guys have big hearts and lots of passion for protecting American's Freedom of Rights.
