Photo Clichés

Posted by Andisheh Nouraee on Wed, Jul 23, 2008 at 4:47 PM

A new blog called Photo Clichés collects photos of people in poses so popular that they've become, well, photo clichés.

The blog is new and thus far has only five clichés: I'm king of the world, Jaws at Universal Studios, see no evil, statue groping and Lynndie England — named for the former U.S. Army reservist infamous for posing with a cigarette dangling from her mouth, while pointing at prisoners in photos taken at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

This photo of a woman pointing Lynndie England-style at a martini is posted on Photo Clichés as the lynndie-tini:

I hope the site starts collecting examples one of my favorite photo clichés, college girls leaning into one another for a group pic. Those always make me laugh.
