News Cox TV president in a nasty divorce

Gawker has posted an item regarding the sex-capades that have allegedly turned up in the divorce of Andrew Fisher, president of Cox television, and his wife, Robin.
We aren't going into details — you can click if you want the dirt — other than to note that Fischer is alleged to have had a rendezvous at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. That happens to be the same place former N.Y. Gov. Eliot Spitzer had his infamous meet-and-greet with call girl Ashley Dupre.

This has been awful quiet until now. Sounds like Cox has been hiding its dirty laundry.

Why is Cox protecting Andy Fisher and the other executives that are living double lives? What a joke Cox's "Family 2 Family" community service program is when they treat their employees' families in an abusive way. What about Cox's major involvement with United Way and Jay Smith's leadership with Camp Twin Lakes. What a joke. What does Clark Howard have to say about all of this?
Sounds like a "cover up" and Cox and the Courthouse look like they both could be involved...The court rulings thus far seem to be helping Andy in hiding the truth since he hasn't denied the S&M allegations. Is Atlanta still a small enough city where a big shot media bully can ruin lives, cover it up, and seemly appear to get away with it... maybe, just maybe, not this time.
What fine company it appears Fisher is keeping with John Edwards, Spitzer, Larry Craig, and McCreevy etc.!!
I heard the divorce custody trial regarding Andrew Fisher and his S&M sex antics was very interesting. Andy avoided all questions, never giving a real answer to anything, and pleading the fifth to any questions regarding affairs etc. Hope his kids don’t have to suffer while he is doing his “side hobbies”. He feels, as President of Cox Television that his private sexual habits are not anyones’ concern. Maybe that is true, but Cox CEO James Cox Kennedy and others should consider when such behavior rises to a disease like narcissistic personality disorder or psychopathic behavior, it is bound to affect the children.
Isn't it amazing that a news reporter would try to stop the public discussion of a topic that is important to everyone. Allegations that Andrew Fisher had a S&M affair that was recorded on a computer is only the tip of the iceberg. People can have fantasy affairs, but when the reality strikes families and children, that is when there is a disaster. The issue is not only Andrew Fisher, it is all the sociopathic people that hurt families. The trail of destruction they leave is an abomination to society, as it destroys lives. My son was affected by such a person when he was young. Now that he is older he is haunted by the feelings of mistrust that will affect his relationships throughout his life. All because of behaviors like Andy has shown, even in putting his family through the trauma of this discussion. Why didn't he just admit he had an affair and move on without any possibility of the public finding out. I fault him even more for that, than the act of adultery that he committed.
No surprise Cox has kept their radio CEO Bob Neil in the closet for over twenty years
Cox has kept Bob Neil, Barnett and others in the Cox closet for some time. Cox radio, TV and AJC are about "covering the news" unless it is one of their own that is HEADLINING the news! Similar to political scandals in our country's past...the "cover up" has become The Bigger Story where the media protect their own.
Andy Fisher Retiring as Cox TV President Andy Fisher, president of Cox Television, is retiring at the end of the year and will be succeeded by Bruce Baker, now executive vice president. Obviously Andy was shown the door. What could of he been thinking when he let this all go public.
I worked in an local TV newsroom with Andy back when we were young street reporters. Andy quickly became the editors "pet" with his talent of puffing every piece he did. He moved on to Philly and launched a career that eventually ended in disgrace at Cox in Atlanta. Back to the "talent of puffing". I refused to spin my stories unlike Andy, but went on to enjoy a moderately successful career in local market television. I feel I have a comfortable and somewhat quiet life in retirement. Andy, on the other hand is a millionaire, but was forced to retire in disgrace. The scandal surrounding his retirement is a story he just wasn't able spin enough to save face with his family, friends and peers in the business. Now he has lots of money, and a lousy reputation.
