Final Connect Atlanta Plan workshops -- view the progress

Mayor Shirley Franklin's Connect Atlanta Plan is in its final stages and team members are asking the public to help them fine-tune their progress.

Four meetings located around Atlanta will be the last chance residents have to weigh in on the the city's first-ever comprehensive transportation plan. It'd be worth stopping by to see what improvements they've proposed in terms of roads, rails, sidewalks and accessibility for cyclists, as well. (Project planners posted a link to a proposed bike network PDF file. Click here to check it out.)

North

Monday, September 8 (6pm-8pm)

Peachtree Rd. United Methodist

3180 Peachtree Road, NW

Directions: From either Arts Center or Buckhead Rail Station, take Bus #23 or Bus # 110 toward Buckhead Village

East

Tuesday, September 16 (6pm-8pm)

Trolley Barn

963 Edgewood Ave., NE

Directions: From Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA Station, walk 1 block westbound (.1mile) on Edgewood Ave

Southwest

Tuesday, September 9 (6pm-8pm)

Cascade United Methodist Church

3144 Cascade Road, SW, Room #204

Directions: Church located just past Childress Drive; take Bus #71 from West End Station or #170 from the Hamilton Holmes Rail Station

Downtown

Thursday, September 18 (6pm-8pm)

City Hall Old City Council Chambers

55 Trinity Avenue, SW, Suite 3350

Directions: From either Five Points or Garnett Station, walk east to City Hall; or take Bus #42, 49 or 110 from Five Points Station
