News CNN SMS is SHT

In September, I signed up to have CNN send "Breaking News" to my cell phone via text message.
Since signing up, I have received 14 text messages labeled "CNN Breaking News.
Seven have been about the financial crisis. Two were about John McCain's campaign suspension stunt.
The remaining five have been about celebrities or child abductions.

Looks more like SMS news from People or Entertainment Tonight. You're surprised?

dislikeI am surprised. The first five BREAKING NEWS alerts were about the the economy and the debates. I was lulled into thinking that, as narrow as the selection was, it was still actual news. In retrospect, it appears the financial stuff was an anomaly. It's just SMS SHT.
