Any other polling weirdness?

Posted by Andisheh Nouraee on Tue, Nov 4, 2008 at 7:59 PM

Has anyone witnessed any voting problems or rule-breaking?

James Hervey, a frequent CL commenter who blogs at www.thearcoftime.com, reports on his Facebook page that he saw poll workers in North Ormewood today wearing Planned Parenthood t-shirts. He reported it to the Secretary of State's office.

I'm not sure if Planned Parenthood t-shirts at polling places violates the letter of the law, but in my opinion it violates the spirit of the law.

Planned Parenthood does lots of things, but it's best known as a vocal advocate for abortion rights. Poll workers shouldn't be wearing t-shirts that suggest they support pro-choice candidates.

I was at that polling place and saw those t-shirts. I wasn't sure whether those people were poll workers - they were giving out water and cake, but I think they were independent volunteers. Also, they were working well outside the polling place on the line. The guy in front of me on the line was wearing an Obama shirt and they made him cover it up before he entered the polling building.

Wsb tv channel 2 in atlanta reports confirmation that gwinnett county and fulton county DID NOT report AN ENTIRE week of early voting results in tuesdays 11pm election results, where an estimated 30% of the state voters voted. Here's the link. I would not concede a SENATE state loss until all results are delivered. I also did a grab of this page if you need it. link is below http://www.wsbtv.com/17894973/detail.html
