Interview by Mary Moore.

How did you become a pet psychic?

Well, I read cards for people, and pets started showing up in their readings. From time to time they would ask me questions about their pet. It just kind of grew into a side thing from that.

Describe how you communicate with them.

Animals communicate in picture form. I’m intuitive. I’ll get an impression of a situation, and I just have to put together what I’m picking up until it makes sense. Sometimes it won’t make sense to me, but it will make sense to the owner. If I can work with a pet, that’s good. But I can also communicate through pictures or a pet’s name. I work off of energy — reading their energy and their connection with their owners.

Has anything really strange happened in a session?

I was working with a client one day, and I kept seeing this little poodle. I told her, “I keep getting the impression of this little poodle lying right at your feet.” And she said, “I was just having the same sensation. I was feeling pressure on my foot.” I started describing it a bit more, like its personality.  She said, “Oh, yes, that’s my little duchess. She passed away a year ago yesterday.”

Have you ever not been able to read a pet?

No, I’ve never had that. They are usually very happy, because they think, "Oh, OK, I’ve got someone here that can really share what I’m thinking." A lot of times, you have people who want to know how they can better communicate with their animal. The best advice I can give is to make pictures in your mind. See what you want your pet to do. You’d be surprised. You may have to do it a couple of times, but you’ll notice that they’ll start doing it. We really do receive a lot of messages from our animals. If you’re laying around watching television and you have a thought of the water bowl being empty, that’s them sending you little messages.

Any funny anecdotes?

A lady who had a ferret said she was having problems with him because they steal. She wanted to know where it was hiding all her jewelry and things it had picked up all over the house. He was kind of stubborn about it! He was like, "OK, if you give me something, I’ll tell you where the hiding place is." He really loved raisins, so every time I’d give him a raisin he would tell me about a new hiding place. We got back most of her stuff. I like ferrets. Their conversations can be much more in-depth because they have a large vocabulary.

Are ferrets the best communicators?

It’s between dogs and ferrets. I love dogs because they are so gossipy; they just know everything.  They’ll even tell about their parents' romantic interludes. One of my clients — a basset hound — told me she did not like to be thrown out of the bed when her parents decided to make love. They were too noisy and disturbed her. She asked that they either be quiet or find a better time, rather than when she wanted to go to bed at night. I was like, “Um…what?”

How did you communicate that to the pet's parents?

Well, I just said, “She would like for you to pick a better time. She’s not happy with you and your husband’s lovemaking situation.” [The owner] said, “Oh I noticed when we try to get her off the bed she gives us this really hard look, and one night she even growled. And Molly never growls!”
