I live in the Midwest and the flood problem in some areas is pretty bad. Once all the snow had fallen, the freezing rain came here and iced over the roads and sidewalks. Then, on Saturday, it warmed up to about 50 degrees but rained all day. So all the ice turned into water, snow melted quickly, and the rain on top of everything caused several rivers here to overflow. Even the park has a few extra nature-made lakes now until the water recedes a little. But it's not surprising that there are flood problems throughout the Midwest after this kind of winter... and it's still only December!
