U.S. Sen. Johnny "Sleepy Eyes" Isakson, R-Ga., spoke to the Atlanta Press Club today. Maria Saporta and the AJC's Kristi Swartz wrote great summaries of his talk and details on what he said about commuter and high-speed rail, water woes and the changing economy which he says might take five years to recover. Isakson also said the closing of the Hapeville Ford Plant might have hurt the region's chances for the Atlanta-Lovejoy rail line.
