Developer, former state lawmaker, inmate and devilishly handsome Pat Swindall was indicted in Fulton County for making illegal campaign contributions.
A Fulton County grand jury indicted Swindall and two other men for making illegal campaign contributions to Atlanta Ciy Councilwoman Joyce Sheperd. It also indicted them for making false statements through concealing the fact that Swindall was the actual source of the contributions made in the names of other people to Sheperds 2005 campaign committee.
Shepard released a statement saying she was "pleased" with the indictment. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard and Swindall could not be contacted for comment, the paper says.
Atlanta Unfiltered's Jim Walls recently recalled Swindall's past legal foibles. Click the link and scroll down to view Swindall's entry on the blogger's "Crooked Politicians Registry."

The real story here is why it's taken Councilwoman Sheperd two years (and counting) to return the dirty money. She really needs a quality opponent this November.
The name Swindall pronounced "swindle" is fitting. BTW-he has a 1/2 brother Philip Swindall w/ a questionable history arrested by the Cobb Co. Sheriff's Office on 10/13/08 for what else? Theft By Taking.
if you did your research correctly you would find that the arrest of pats brother philip in october was found to be a misunderstanding and all of the charges were dropped.
Sarah, The reason the charges were dropped, was cuz big bro Pat paid the owner of the dealership, the money owed him.
Philip Swindall is a class "A" jerk and a convict. I worked with him and he is a horrible person. He steals and lies and is very rude and disgusting
Sarah, believe me, I do my research...thoroughly. The misunderstanding you're speaking of was w/ Steve Rayman Chevrolet & was a $600,000 misunderstanding & don't think it was Pat who paid some of it back to get charges dropped. Why did it take you almost 8 mos. to defend Mr. Swindall? Are you by chance related? Oh BTW again- Philip is now locked in the Gwinnett County Jail, held over to Superior Court w/ no bond/bail, w/ multiple indictments/charges pending + more to come...for what else...fraud, theft etc.
