News Allen Thornell has died

Southern Voice reports local gay activist and former director of Georgia Equality Allen Thornell died this morning after suffering a stroke.

This is sad news for Georgia's progressive community. I first met Allen Thornell during the 2004 fight against SR595, and he always was on top of his stuff. Thornell will truly be missed.
