Is this even a race? I have been under the assumption that Lisa would runaway with this. I've heard she's been making Mary and Kasim look silly in these debates. Has anyone heard otherwise?
It'll be a race all right once folks figure out what the heck Lisa means by her new "point of sale sales tax." This could turn into a tax referendum for those who feel over-taxed, which well we all might, considering the 3 mill property hike, the fact that 8c sales tax in Atlanta is the highest in the state and in recent history, and that our water bills are among the highest in the country. Lisa is fine with piling taxes on residents after presiding over giveaways of TADs and abatements to her developer colleagues these past five years. C/mon Kasim and Mary, focus on the one thing Lisa's said that is not pablum and take her apart.
Lisa has been making Kasim and Mary (and Grandpa Jesse) look bad mainly because she's eloquent, smart, and gets her point across without saying hackneyed 60's era slang or scowling like he's about to steal someone's wallet (or regurgitating this "politics as usual" business without looking like an utter moron.
