Perhaps it will shame him into forcing out the military coupsters in Honduras, too. Oh wait, Lanny Davis has $400k that says bully boy landowner oligarchs are our sort of people. Si se puede. From the standpoint of an occasional progressive, this award looks like a serious case of grade inflation.

WOW! He did enough in 12 days on the job to get a Nobel Peace Prize?!? He should be able to get peace in the Middle East by Christmas, fix the economy by Jan 1 and take the rest of his term off, retiring as the greatest President of all time.

This prize has been a joke since they gave it to the inventor of the suicide bomber and the former President who certifies bogus elections, legitimizing thugs all over the world.

nah, it's not a joke. stil lthe most prestigious award in the world, even after kissinger won it. but obama has a lot to live up to now - presidents roosevelt, wilson, and carter have all won it for their good deeds. now obama needs to back up his talk with action. (just a hint - he won't get any action by waiting on right wing extremists to work with him)

an ALMOST-posted twitter from bill clinton: "obama wins a nobel peace prize just for being elected president? who do i have to get to blow me to win the thing already?"

Most prestigious? To whom? This is laughable, therefore a joke. Want another joke winner? They didn't give it to John Paul II or Reagan for ending the Cold War, but gave it to Gorbachev. All he did was what he was forced to do by two Popes and every President since Ike.

"Enlighten" me. Who is most responsible for ending the Cold War? This should be good. One error of omission, I forgot Margaret Thatcher in my list. Sorry about that.

Wesleywhatwhat - my post makes fun of the idiots that gave the award, not our President. Interesting you chose not to reply to my actual question to you, but, typically for you, to hurl a baseless insult. As usual, you have nothing of substance to give.
