News Newt Gingrich named 'Family Values Porn Fan of the Year'

Remember a few months back when Newt Gingrich's D.C.-based American Solutions for Winning the Future (really, what a fucking ridiculous name) "mistakenly" named porn distributor Allison Vivas its "Entrepreneur of the Year" for 2009?
Our extended kin at the Washington City Paper reported the story and, in the process, created the coolest URL in the history of the Internet. Everyone had a laugh.
The biggest bummer in the series of events was that Gingrich's acolytes realized their mistake. They then canceled a private dinner with Vivas, slamming the brakes on what surely would've been a deliciously awkward moment between the former House Speaker and the woman behind such legendary films as Monster Cock Junkies and Double Penetration Tryouts. In a perfect world, that dinner would've taken place Wednesday night.
The City Paper's Dave McKenna exchanged emails with Vivas yesterday. He asked her how she spent what should've been an intimate dinner with Das Newt.
And guess what? Ole Newt's getting an award!
From the City Paper:
“I sat down with the executive team here and created a special honor to bestow upon Newt: “Family Values Porn Fan of the Year, 2009,” Vivas responded via email. ” We worked on the plaque design [ed. visit McKenna's post to see the plaque], an event schedule, a notification to fax to his office – and of course, a letter we’ll send rescinding the offer after he receives it.”Vivas also prepared an excuse to give Gingrich when she retracts the Porn Fan of the Year trophy. She’ll say it was all a mistake, as he told her about the entrepreur award, and add that the honor “was intended for members of our MilfSeeker.com website, and not for fans of our WifeSwitch DVD series.”
