Atlanta mayoral candidate and grassroots activist Kyle Keyser is the latest City Hall hopeful to release a campaign commercial. Only this one won't be airing during every "Georgia Gang" commercial break, a la the frontrunners' ads. It's an online-only spot.
The ad was shot by Atlanta-based filmmaker Raegan Hodge. The tune is by local musicians Judi Chicago. Keyser's campaign says it's an in-kind contribution.

Keyser has great potential. It's so sad that the "leading" mayoral candidates are so uninspiring, have been so ineffective, and are devoid of the creative ideas that Atlanta so desperately needs. Woe is us, whichever of the top three candidates wins in November.
Keyser is an amazing filmmaker. He probably should have made videos for the other candidates to pick up some extra scratch. While I think his work as a community activists is substantial. It takes more than concern to run a city. I hope he continues to feed the race especially when some of the candidates like Lisa Borders seem to fall in line with his concerns for public safety.
Videos will save the planet. Just look what they've done for Sergey Brin!
Donny: You are absolutely correct. It takes more than concern to run a city. That's why the three leading candidates are so uninspiring. They may be concerned (along with the rest of us). But they offer little else.
Nice commercial, but Keyser has no hope. Do the smart thing kiddo -- drop out before E-Day, throw your support behind a gay-friendly candidate, and get back to avoiding paying your bills. Lord knows we don't need a mayor doing that same thing for Atlanta!
Is Kyle there to make Mary seem less incapable of running the town? Guys, we don't need inspiration from the next mayor. We need a tough, effective leader who can get the budget to work. No more bloody beltlines and boondoggles. As far as I can see, Kasim is the only candidate to do that, warts and all.
