TONIGHT (Friday)
Two solo exhibitions by native Atlantans open tonight at Jackson Fine Art. The first is from famed photographer Tierney Gearon. The second is Todd Murphy's new series Sovereign Tree, a series of photographs based on Murphy's light-box installation, The Sovereign Tree, at Buckhead's Sovereign tower. The photos feature climbing tree branch segments seamlessly pieced together to represent both the changing seasons and to showcase multiple bird species. Both artists will be present for the opening reception. Free. 6-8 p.m. Jackson Fine Art. 404-233-3739. www.jacksonfineart.com.
