Anyone want to see a flat-screen thief sent to prison?

Actually, you may be able to help put him there.

You may recall an incident last fall in which a Grant Park couple posted a video to YouTube of some perps breaking into their house and stealing their flat-screen TV and a laptop. The video went viral, tips flowed in to the APD and, by the end of the week, police had raided a ring of TV thieves, including a suspect from the video.

Well, according to Alyssa Kopp, whose video led to the bust, that suspect was convicted of the burglary only yesterday in Fulton Superior Court. The sentencing is scheduled for the morning and she's inviting any interested parties to come down to watch — and perhaps even help pressure the judge into putting him behind bars.

The sentencing is tomorrow and our DA has encouraged us to get the word out to the community to try and increase our chances of a harsh punishment.

Here's when and where:

9:30 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 3

Justice Center Towers

185 Central Ave., SW

Courtroom 4d, Judge Baxter

Atlanta 30303

BTW, Kaufman and her husband were burgled again this summer. That video is after the jump:
