Streetalk: Best and worst album of the year?

Sara: Worst is Black Eyed Peas, The E.N.D. Really pathetic. I don't get it. It really doesn't resemble music to me. It just sounds like people shouting. There's not a coherent thought. It's a bunch of words thrown together. It's so bad it stands out. My mom liked it, which made me dislike it more. Au Revoir Simone, Still Night, Still Light, is the best.  It's all girls. They're not trying too hard. It's more lighthearted. I don't listen to a lot of girl rock, but I just like their style. Their keyboard and their harmonized voices is all that's going on.

David: Cage the Elephant, "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked." They're from Kentucky. Raw, unrefined, just straight rock 'n' roll. For worst album, anything that crap girl puts out, Taylor Swift. Fuck that bitch. She sucks. They might as well be selling bars of soap. That is such a product. It's got no soul, no art, no musicality. It's product! I was so appalled watching the [Country Music Association Awards]. I was forced under duress to watch it. The whole thing made me nauseous, and Taylor Swift may be the most nauseous of any nauseous I experienced that night.

Gerda: Trey Songz, Ready. He's just a wonderful singer. I enjoy listening to him even when I'm reading or doing my homework or when you're chillin' with a significant other. A lot of people in college have relationship problems, and he's singing songs you really can relate to. And he talks a lot about sex, and sex sells. I don't know why everybody thinks Whitney Houston's album, I Look to You, is good, but I don't like it. The voice she once had is definitely not there anymore. You're supposed to come back better than what you used to be. It really is just sympathy. Everybody knows she's not the Whitney Houston she used to be.
