>> Many Arabs see President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win, awarded today, as inappropriate given the surge of U.S. troops into Afghanistan and the lack of progress between Israel and Palestine. Since many Americans see Obama's win as inappropriate as well since he hasn't done anything deserving yet, perhaps this is an opportunity for our cultures to come together? Just trying to stay positive here ... (the Christian Science Monitor)
>> The Telegraph reports that Egypt is building an underground wall up to 100 ft deep along its border with the Gaza strip to block people and contraband from being smuggled into the nation. Even Egypt doesn't want Palestinians in their country. (the Telegraph)
>> New York City police shot a man carrying a weapon in Times Square yesterday during one of the busiest tourist times of the year. Authorities say it was the most action Times Square has seen in over 20 years. (Fox News)
>> After cancellations of a handful of press conferences, the African Group is having a lot of trouble developing a common position in the Copenhagen climate change summit, now in its fourth day. The Africa Group seems to be used to having a lot of troubles. (Xinhua)
