Nice image. Especially the laundry. That lets us know it's been like that for awhile. Where is this at?

This is on Northside drive and Bankhead Highway... I've always wondered why that bridge was cut off...

Believe it or not, that used to be one of the main entrances into Atlanta, in the pre-interstate days. There is now a proposal to rebuild it as a pedestrian/bike route between the Tech campus and the west side.

"There is now a proposal to rebuild it as a pedestrian/bike route between the Tech campus and the west side" Really? Any links to information on that? I stumbled across this bridge a couple months ago while searching for a new bicycle route onto campus from the west. I saw the bridge on Google maps and thought it looked convenient. It wasn't until I was about 10 feet from the fence - surrounded by garbage, dirty laundry, and a whole gaggle of homeless folks eyeing me suspiciously - that I realized I wasn't getting through. But it'd make a nice connection if it was reconnected on its east side. Hopefully there's some truth to BPJ's comment. Thanks for the photo.

I was shown a plan by some architects I know. It is apparently a Ga. Tech proposal. Sorry, I don't have a link to it.
