>> Freshman Democratic Rep. Parker Griffith of Alabama switched to the Republican Party yesterday, primarily over health care reform. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spent more than $1 million in expenditures to help Griffith win the seat, even though the Alabama district voted for McCain as president. Ten bucks says this fair-weather politician won't be paying back the Democratic Committee. (the Washington Post)
