On my way to CL's offices in a tremendous downpour on Friday morning, my photo instincts took over. l started driving in circles looking to photograph miserable people stuck in the rain. (Such is the life of a newspaper photographer, because other people's misery often makes the best pictures.) Every time I saw a struggling wet person, I stalked them from the comfort of my warm, dry car with my camera. This guy appeared to have been totally defeated by the wind and the rain. His umbrella had completely collapsed. But he still kept his pride as he walked calmly down Forsyth Street to the Five Points MARTA station.
