>> Trash bags filled with clothing from fast-fashion retailers H&M were discovered yesterday that had purposefully been destroyed so that they were unwearable and could not be sent to homeless shelters after being disposed of. This comes as H&M launches a Garden Collection made of sustainable and recycled materials. I might be paying $15 for a sweater, but I'll be damned if I'm caught wearing the same thing as a bum. (the New York Times)

>> Fashion house Versace is auctioning an unpaid internship in New York on CharityBuzz.com with bidding up to $3,250. If you can bid $3,250 on an internship, you probably don't need to be an intern. (Fashion Week Daily)

>> Israel has agreed to pay the U.N. $10.5 million for U.N. property damage and for the life of a U.N. driver killed during the country's attack against Gaza last winter. I'm going to resist making a joke about Israel haggling on the compensation price. (the Wall Street Journal)

>> South Dakota Sen. Tim Johnson, the only Democrat to oppose legislation to control credit-card abuses, is in line to become the Banking Committee chairman next year. South Dakota is also the headquarters to Citigroup's credit-card operation. Johnson's first order of business? All Americans mandated to have Citi's Diamond Preferred card.(Business Week)

>> And finally, with oncoming flurries threatening our very way of life here in Atlanta, lets take a look, shall we, at our clever friends across the pond. Extra-marital dating sites like IllicitEncounters.com have seen an unexpected increase in visitors over the last 24 hours since Brits have been snowed in by winter weather. I predict a spike in Atlanta's Craigslist personals in coming days. (Reuters)
